June 24, 2016, August 1, 2016

Music has been pretty scarce this spring. The rest of my life is trying to make me do more important and adult types of things. Then several weeks ago was the 2016 version of the Firefly Music Festival. (Hopefully I'll be able to write up my thoughts on what I saw there) That reiterated how important music is to me and so I've been listening to a bunch of new stuff since then. Here are a few songs that caught my ear. Weeks continue to fly by so this is turning into a catch-all over the Summer months. Maybe August will see more updates (Here's hoping)

Chlorine - Birthh
Dead Eyes - Adia Victoria
Stuck - Day Wave
I Don't Wanna Be Funny Anymore - Lucy Dacus
Hurtin' (On The Bottle) - Margo Price
Love in Me - Judah and the Lion
Sing Me Your Song - Judah and the Lion
Beat and the Pulse - Austra
Butterfly - Delicate Steve
If I Wanted Someone - Dawes
Tapes - The Weather Station
Easier - DUGAS
Summer in the City - Regina Spektor
You Wouldn't Like Me - Tegan and Sara
Deceiver - Crystalyne
Betray - Son Lux

March 22, 2016

Been a while since I sat down to listen intentionally to new music. I'll see what sticks out while listening to NPR All Song's Considered list of the Austin 100. Who knows where that will take me?

Seize the Night - Will Varley
Victoria - Beverly
L.A. Dream - Julia Jacklin
The Race - Oh Pep!
Next To You - Misty Miller
Tropicoller Lease - Sun Club
Atta Blues - Emily Wolfe
Cutting my fingers off - Turnover
Oracle - Haelos
Somebody to Anybody - Margaret Glaspy
Cinnamon - Cullen Omori

More to come.
