Wow. The world sure has changed. The Covid19 Pandemic has swept through the world resulting in tremendous disruption to normal day-to-day life and alarmingly many deaths. I've been working from home for the past 2 and a half months which has translated into less time than normal for listening to music. Finally had a chance to sit down and just listen for a bit and here are a few things that caught my ear.

This series of Australian Artists played on a station starting with Gang of Youths, so thanks to them for kicking it off. An impressive array of talent and sounds from Down Under.

Not Worth Hiding - Alex the Astronaut
Ivy League - Alex Lahey
Never Start - Middle Kids
Morning - Meg Mac
Adore - Amy Shark
Redneck Lullaby - Ruby Fields

The Airborne Toxic Event, one of my very favorite bands released a new album, after the first couple listens, here are the songs that I really love.

Come On Out - The Airborne Toxic Event
All The Children - The Airborne Toxic Event
The Common Touch - The Airborne Toxic Event
True. - The Airborne Toxic Event

March 13, 2017

Long long time with little to no music. Work has been frantic, the rest of life has sped up rather than slowing down. But a regular thing for me to do in March is to listen to NPR's work up of 100 songs from SXSW artists. Thought I'd jot down a few that caught my ear. Maybe I'll find my way back to more regular listening!!

Listening to a random sampling of artists that are new to me, is such an exciting experience.
